The skid is a portable devise for use in new compressor locations. It includes all yards (block, check and bypass), valves, inlet separation, compressor auto recycle valve, discharge coalescing filter separator, fuel and instrumentation scrubber, and gas metering instrumentation all on a common skid. There are edge-of-skid inlet and outlet connections for amine treating and gas dehydration if required, with bypass valves in the event one or both of these processes are not required. The skid is designed to be the central piping connection point for all incoming and exiting piping.
Most installations include this equipment, but the components must be installed and connected separately. Facility installation time and cost can be reduced dramatically by having all this equipment on a portable skid, already piped and ready to be set.
