Houston, (August 1, 2008) – Valerus Compression Services LP, of Houston, Texas, (www.Valerus-co.com) announces the signing of a Worldwide Distributor Agreement with Ariel Corporation, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, (www.arielcorp.com).

Ariel was founded in 1966 by Jim Buchwald and continues operations today under the leadership of his daughter, Karen Buchwald Wright. Since inception, Ariel has more than 31,000 compressors operating in every oil and gas operating basin in the world. Valerus began operations in 2002 and began its rapid ascent when principals Mike McGhan and Chet Erwin assumed control as Co-CEO’s in late 2004. Since inception Valerus has packaged over 1,400,000 horsepower of reciprocating natural gas compressors. Valerus contract compression fleet will end the year with over 450,000 horsepower. The stage is set for continued significant growth in 2009 with the packaging of more than 1,100 new compressors equating to an additional 600,000 horsepower.
