Houston, (August 18, 2008) –Valerus Compression Services, a worldwide leader in natural gas handling services specializing in natural gas processing, treating and compression, has opened an office in Denver, Colo., to better serve its growing customer base in the Rocky Mountain area. Additionally, the company has named industry veteran Jim Truex as sales manager for the new area office.
"The demand for our compression services has significantly increased with the acceleration of exploration and production activity in the Western United States," said Chet Erwin, co-CEO, Valerus. "The new Denver office will provide our Rocky Mountain customers with additional local support. We are pleased that Jim has joined our team, bringing with him substantial knowledge of the compression industry as well as the region."
Truex has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Valerus, he spent 15 years as a sales manager for Siemens. He is familiar with the energy business in the Rockies, where he began his energy career with Copper Energy Services.
